How to Acquire the Data Recovery Assignment
To start the mission, Commander Shepard must locate Gavin Hossle during the primary storyline operations on Feros. He is initially located at the refugee camp inside the Skyway Weigh Station while you travel toward the ExoGeni Headquarters. Speaking with him gives you an Optical Storage Disc designed to download his research.
Alternatively, players can acquire the task from Gavin after resolving the main conflict at Zhu's Hope. However, obtaining it too late can permanently lock the facility elevator and render the mission impossible to complete without early save files. Therefore, speaking to Gavin during the initial drive along the Prothean Skyway is highly recommended.
Locating the Data Console Inside ExoGeni Headquarters
Once inside the ExoGeni facility, navigate through the initial corridors until you spot the prominent blue geth energy barrier.
